Some views of the new Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) Class 345 trains currently operating between
Liverpool Street and Shenfield under the TFL-RAIL brand.
1, 4, 7, 9: The interiors are spartan with mainly inwards-facing seats. Most passengers will have to stand. There are no toilets on these trains, and no charging points. 6: The very few lateral seats get taken very quickly. 2, 3, 8: The passenger information is very clear but the connections aren't held on screen long enough to be of much use. 5: Liverpool Street main line station. Elizabeth Line trains will eventually use the new underground station. 11 - 13: 345008 at Harlod Wood and Stratford. 14, 15: The new Abbey Wood station is still a building site but is open for business. The last photo shows a Class 37 locomotive coupled to a Class 345 unit which it towed through the Crossrail tunnels to check for any gauging issues. |
